Antony Bridge was born in 1980. He is a self-taught artist and lives in the Malverns with his wife and 2 daughters. Growing up in an area of outstanding beauty, he began to understand the peace, power and solitude of the landscape and has been inspired ever since. Antony gets out there in all weathers, rainy, grey, bright or misty and finds an inspiring location to paint, sets up either his French easel or pochade box and gets to work with his oil paints.

Antony used to paint in a photographic way, but after grafting away en plein air, painting directly in front of the subject, and then painting larger work in the studio from these plein air pieces, he has developed a unique way of seeing the landscape and translating it into shapes and colour.
I have been trying to get Antony's work in the Gallery for some years, and he has finally relented, and we are thrilled to have his inimitable work adorn our walls and to spread his name into the East Midlands!
