David Pilgrim, born in 1975, was made a full member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 2012, and deservedly so. He is a quiet genius of a landscape painter, able to capture the essence of a scene en plein air, with the minimum number of deftly placed brushtrokes of oil paint. Shy by nature, he is not one to push himself to the forefront of the art world, but this is not because of a lack of talent. David has it in spadesful and is truly a fabulously skilful painter. He quietly goes about his business, producing compelling work, worthy of being thought of in the same breath as the very best in the country.  Painting is not David’s full time profession – amazingly, he manages to paint the dazzling images he does in his spare time. We are thrilled to have David exhibit with us, and it is advisable to invest in his work before prices truly reflect the extraordinary qualities of this artist, who is most surely bound for great things.
